Hole in Parker House recliner after 26 months

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Parker House Furniture - Hole in Parker House recliner after 26 months
After 26 months *** appeared in the material on the seat of my recliner. I reported it to the retailer where I bought the recliner, they informed me that there was only a one year warranty on the material. Parker House did not have a replacement seat or the material basically saying there is nothing they will do. There is no customer service from Parker House to contact directly.

Poor materials and workmanship

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Our leather sectional has had numerous issues. After only two years the cross beam behind the knees broke.

It was made of very thin pine, and cost about $200 to professionally repair. Now another cross beam is broken, but before we fix that, our repair guy says we really need to address the sagging cushions under the leather. He showed me photos of how the cushions are constructed, and he was amazed at the poor workmanship. He says no other furniture company builds seat cushions that way, and they were designed to fail.

Parker House will not sell me replacement cushions, so now I am having to go to great expense to have an upholstery shop construct custom cushions. We have owned this sectional for less than four years.

Pathetic Quality

Stay away from Parker House Furniture. We purchase a reclining sofa, loveseat and chair.

We spent over $5,000. After one year we moved, downsized from our 4877 square foot home to only 2360 aquare foot home and put all the furniture in our small garage covered with protective plastic. Now after four years we put the furniture back into our home. None of the recliners now work.

We went back to Living Spaces in Chandler asking for battery replacement and they said sorry, those items have been discontinued, you are out of warranty so too bad, we cannot help you;. SO DO NOT BUY THIS COMPANIES PRODUCTS>

Love this Recliner

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought my recliner strictly for the appearance, but after getting it I must say this chair is the best. Looks, quality and everything it does has made me a fan. I eat in this chair, I watch tv in this chair, I sleep in this chair and lots of other things, too. The only drawback is delivery time. Takes at least a month to get to you, but with everything else I will live with that part. It is a spendy chair, but so worth it.

Poor quality

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
If I could give them a zero rating I sure would. Expensive furniture with zero quality and no one wants to stand behind the product. 8 months old, the sectional has 3 cushions that are ripped and warranty and store are saying we have to pay for repairs. The furniture is sat on, not laid on, and the fabric wore immediately. Motor quit working 1 week after purchase. This company makes horrible furniture but charges thousands for it. DO NOT BUY, THIS IS JUNK FURNITURE!

Catalina Bookshelves with Strong Chemical Odor

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

March 10, 2023 I purchased 5 more of these bookcases as independent units, not a preset system of bookcases. Weirdly, they were in my home 7 days later when I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to arrive.

Turns out these were defective bookcases with a toxic odor.

Overwhelmed the room so it was unusable.

Parker-House dumped known unfit product on me and refused to honor the warranty and replace them.

Horrible, Horrible, furniture and dishonest company in my experience.

I strongly advise you to purchase a different brand of furniture. Avoid the many months struggling, and failing, to get furniture that wont harm your health.

$3657 down the drain and hundreds of hours trying to get the warranty honored.

Frame bends easily, fabric tears, stitching breaks. Response from dealer & manufacturer has been negative, non-responsive and push back with anger. The value of product is poor. Ive only owned this sectional for 5 months. One piece has already been replaced for fabric tear from frame. I live alone. This sectional is hardly used.

Non existent warranty.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Warranty used to correct recliner bent foot rest support. Technician advised mechanism replacement.

Retailer said no. Just use labor to fix. This all during COVID. I finally contacted Parkerhouse about 3 year warranty (only owned sofa set now 13 months).

I sent all paperwork to parkerhouse and problem with recliner. They sent a very nice letter back explaining to me that I had to go through retailer and that they would contact them (retailer) for me. Parker house does not work directly. Retailer after contact never contacted me.

Parker house advised again and nothing. What good is a warranty (3 year at that and nothing). My final opinion about retailer(now out of business).

Warranty useless!! Never recommend a Parker house product ever.

*** FURNITURE- DO NOT BUY

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We spent good money on the Pegasus Nutmeg sectional & in less than 2yrs we had an issue w/the back leaning & motor glitching. Our retailer reached out to have covered under the warranty & that was a nightmare. The 2 dudes sent out, were extremely rude!!! To the point my husband had to throw them out of our house. They came out to replace the mechanism & left the garbage & flat out told us we needed to clean up after them. No joke!! Then proceeded to clean out the garbage of his truck on our driveway & leave it. Included was glass, nails & general trash. That was a separate issue in itself!!

The part did not even last a full yr. Our retailer had to order a whole other recliner pc for us to see if that would fix the problem. You guessed it, THAT BROKE TOO!!! 4.5 months later that motor locked up. Our retailer ordered another motor Jan 13th, Feb 7th were told someone dropped the ball & it would go right out as it had not shipped yet, Feb 21st...yep NO MOTOR!!! Now they are telling us that it was because of the Chinese New Year that happens in JAN!!!

Dec 21", April 22", Aug 22", Jan23" to deal with the same problem for something that was not cheap is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! Now my retailer is sick of us & I still dont have a good quality sectional.

DO NOT BUY PARKER BROS FURNITURE!!! It's *** & they make you jump thru hoops to have problem resolved.

Parts

Have call many times since December for parts package for bookcases. I have no hardware to put them together and have been told different stories on each call. I have 500 lbs of bookcases that can not be connected or completely and they still have done nothing. Very frustrating and I will never purchase any of their products again. And now am waiting for another call back that I will likely not receive

Terrible quality piece for the money, Chicom junk

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Ordered $1200 sofa, lasted 3 years, broken frame (junk pine1×2's). Worn out cushions and exposed springs. Zero customer service. Quoted 3 to 4 months and $300 to get replacement foam cushions and my store wants another hundred bucks to install them and put it back together with no warranty. Will never buy ANYTHING with their name on it again nor will anyone I talk to.
